Does outstanding work in the area of e-learning

Tanya Schecter has worked with the BC Patient Safety & Learning System since June 2007 and continues to work with us today. Tanya's role is to coach and collaborate with us to develop e-learning modules that will facilitate teaching to healthcare staff. Tanya does outstanding work in the area of e-learning courses, and has been key to the successful development of our tools. Her expertise with e-learning includes design and layout of content, selecting graphics and images and working with animation experts to ensure a high quality finished product. Our e-learning courses incorporate learning methods that appeal to the adult learner, and facilitate the teaching of complex healthcare topics.

Tanya consistently demonstrated a high degree of knowledge throughout the development of our courses, was pleasant to work with, and delivered her work within set timeframes. We plan to develop additional e-learning courses and will most certainly work with Tanya once again to ensure a similar professional product that is consistent with the excellent courses she has already developed for us.

Fast, accurate, results-oriented, and personable with detailed and fair cost estimates

I have had the pleasure of working with Tanya Schecter. More correctly, I retained Tanya's Instructional Design and Technical Writing services on numerous occasions over the past years. I have found Tanya to be fast, accurate, results-oriented, and personable. Her job cost estimates were detailed and fair. Her deliverables were submitted promptly (usually before deadlines), branding and original art work were in good taste and in line with BC Hydro standards, and revisions were incorporated seamlessly, all without cost overruns. I am still using her services and intend to do so in the future as the need arises.

Worked diligently with subject matter experts and provided added value

I have worked directly with Tanya Schecter on developing a number of e-learning courses over the past year. In all instances, she was self-directed, helped to provide direction on vision and look and feel, assisted other internal instructional designers, and worked diligently with our SMEs to ensure that the content reflected organizational needs and reality. She also provided us with added value by providing us with graphical support and working directly with the multimedia developers to ensure that WorkSafeBC's vision was brought to life. I am looking forward to working with her again in the near future.

Easy to work with; efforts resulted in final costs falling 22% below budget

With minimal direction Ms Schecter not only created the orientation content she also managed the development stream with our external developer. Due to Ms Schecter's effort the final cost of the project fell 22% below budget. Her attention to detail and ability to keep the development team focused and within scope has resulted in our implementing a product that is professional and practical. Ms Schecter has a collaborative style that made her easy to work with. She works well with little direction and is able to clearly understand and meet her customer's needs. I would recommend Ms Schecter for any contract of this nature.

Highly skilled, professional, and produced within a short timeframe

Tanya (Schecter) and Brad (Eastman) were terrific to work with, both highly skilled and professional. Within a very short timeframe they were able to develop a highly appealing and effective e-learning module for primary care physicians on the prevention and treatment of stroke and TIAs. They worked very well with members of the project team and delivered a high quality product on time and on budget.

Exceptional work; kept the team on time and on budget throughout the project

Tanya Schecter of Quoin Consulting was contracted by OHSAH from October, 2009 to March, 2010 as an Instructional Designer. Her role was to develop a comprehensive online provincial violence prevention training curriculum for the healthcare sector, based on the direction and input of a diverse team of health and safety professionals. Ms. Schecter effectively led the curriculum team through the ADDIE instructional design model to accomplish the development of ten 15-25 minute online modules, including paper-based self-study versions. Ms. Schecter created an initial project plan that was approved by the curriculum team, and was successful in keeping the team on-time and on budget throughout the project. Ms. Schecter's knowledge and skills related to online instructional design was an asset to the provincial curriculum team.

On behalf of the Agency I want to acknowledge the exceptional work that Ms. Schecter has contributed during her contract to helping OHSAH fulfill its mandate to making healthcare a healthier place to work. I recommend Quoin Consulting without reservation and would be happy to speak with you in more detail should you require further information.

Expertise, professionalism, and get-to-it attitude made it a pleasure to work with her

Tanya worked with us to create classroom training for Fit Testing N-95 Respirators under a very tight timeline! Her obvious expertise, professionalism and get-to-it attitude made it a pleasure to work with her and we were very satisfied with the quality of the product.

Work was professional, of excellent quality, and delivered promptly

Tanya Schecter was retained by the City Clerk's Department in August, 2008, to assist in the development of a new program to orient staff to Council protocol. The timeline was tight and there was no blueprint.

Tanya interviewed me, researched current procedures, and returned with a professional course outline and presentation materials within days. She continued to support the process throughout the beta training and collected participant feedback. At my request, Tanya then prepared an e-learning proposal for Council protocol training, which the City hopes to implement at a future date.

I found Tanya's work to be professional, of excellent quality, and delivered promptly. We would welcome the opportunity to work with Tanya again!

- Marg Coulson, Acting City Clerk, City of Vancouver

Exceeded expectations, delivered on budget and ahead of schedule

Tanya Schecter was brought on to create multiple modules for a BC Hydro wide Online Driver Safety program. Initial concerns regarding scope, materials and a tight timeline were quickly put to rest by Tanya's project management skills. Tanya worked with subject matter experts to obtain and review materials and efficiently transformed those materials into effective eL-learning modules. Tanya was diligent in keeping the project on track as well as ensuring that there was learner engagement during the module review process. The project exceeded expectations, was delivered on budget and ahead of schedule. I am looking forward to working with Tanya again.
